ZENMANAM LEARNING EXPERIENCES
Learn the practice.
Understand the purpose.
Make it part of your life.
These programs are not designed as isolated workout sessions. They are structured learning experiences that help you understand movement, breathing, technique, safety, progression, and practical application.
Whether you are beginning your fitness journey, returning after a break, or looking for a calmer and more sustainable approach, each program helps you learn at a realistic pace and practise with greater confidence.
THE ZENMANAM APPROACH
MORE THAN AN EXERCISE CLASS
I want you to understand what you are doing—not merely copy movements.
Many people begin exercising by following random videos, copying advanced movements, or repeating routines without understanding technique, progression, breathing, recovery, or individual limitations.
That can make exercise feel confusing, intimidating, or unsustainable.
My approach combines fitness coaching with curriculum and learning experience design. Each program is organised with clear outcomes, demonstrations, guided practice, reflection, feedback, progressive challenges, and practical takeaways.
The goal is not to make you dependent on an instructor. The goal is to help you practise with greater understanding, safety, and confidence.

BREATHING TECHNIQUES & TRAINING
Your breath changes with every moment. Learn how to work with it.
Breathing influences movement, focus, posture, exercise performance, emotional state, recovery, sleep, and the way we respond to stress. Yet most of us rarely pause to understand how we breathe.
What this program explores
This learning experience introduces breathing as a practical skill rather than a single technique. You will explore how breathing patterns change during rest, work, walking, strength training, running, swimming, stressful situations, and recovery.
The sessions combine simple explanations, body awareness, guided practice, reflection, and application-based activities. You will learn when different breathing approaches may be useful and how to practise without forcing the breath.
The aim is not to control every breath. It is to become aware enough to respond with greater calm and efficiency.
KEY FOCUS AREAS
- Understanding everyday breathing patterns
- Diaphragmatic and relaxed breathing awareness
- Breathing during strength exercises
- Breathing rhythm during walking and running
- Breathing considerations for swimming
- Breath awareness during stress and anxiety
- Recovery and down-regulation practices
- Breathing routines before sleep
- Posture and its relationship with breathing
- Safe practice and individual variation
HOW THIS CAN SUPPORT DAILY LIFE
RESISTANCE BAND TRAINING
A portable training tool. A complete foundation for strength.
Resistance bands are affordable, adaptable, travel-friendly, and useful across different fitness levels. When used correctly, they can support strength, mobility, stability, movement quality, and progressive exercise.
KEY FOCUS AREAS
- Choosing the appropriate band and resistance
- Safe anchoring and equipment inspection
- Movement setup, posture, and alignment
- Lower-body pushing and pulling patterns
- Upper-body push, pull, and shoulder exercises
- Core stability and anti-rotation movements
- Mobility and controlled range-of-motion work
- Full-body exercise combinations
- Beginner-to-intermediate progressions
- Designing a simple home workout
Strength training without a complicated setup
This program helps participants understand how resistance bands create tension and how positioning, band length, anchor point, range of motion, and movement speed influence an exercise.
You will practise foundational movement patterns and learn how to adjust an exercise according to your present ability. The emphasis is on controlled movement, technique, appropriate resistance, and progressive development.
You do not need a room full of equipment to begin building strength. You need suitable resistance, good movement, and consistent practice.
HOW THIS CAN SUPPORT DAILY LIFE
KETTLEBELL FOUNDATIONS
One tool that can teach strength, control, power, and endurance.
Kettlebell training combines resistance, coordination, balance, whole-body movement, and cardiovascular demand. Its value comes from learning the fundamentals well—not from rushing into complex movements.
Technique before intensity
This program begins with handling, setup, stance, grip, breathing, bracing, and fundamental movement patterns. Participants learn how the kettlebell’s shape and centre of mass influence movement and control.
The learning pathway gradually progresses from controlled strength movements toward safe introductory ballistic exercises where appropriate. Each exercise is connected to its purpose, muscles involved, common mistakes, and real-life or sporting application.
The kettlebell should not pull you through the movement. You should learn to control the kettlebell.
KEY FOCUS AREAS
- Choosing an appropriate kettlebell weight
- Safe lifting, carrying, and placing techniques
- Grip, stance, breathing, and trunk control
- Hip-hinge movement and deadlift foundations
- Goblet squat technique
- Rows, presses, carries, and core exercises
- Kettlebell swing preparation and progression
- Whole-body workout design
- Strength and conditioning applications
- Technique checks and common errors

TAI CHI FOR EVERYDAY LIFE
Move gently. Breathe naturally. Develop awareness through practice.
Tai Chi integrates slow movement, posture, weight transfer, coordination, balance, breathing, concentration, and calm attention. It is not merely a sequence to memorise—it is a practice of listening to the body.
KEY FOCUS AREAS
- Foundational posture and alignment
- Relaxation without collapsing the body
- Slow and controlled weight transfer
- Balance and lower-body awareness
- Coordinating upper and lower body movement
- Natural breathing during practice
- Mindful attention and movement quality
- Foundational Tai Chi movements
- Short personal practice routines
- Applying calm movement to everyday life
A practice for movement—and for living
This program introduces Tai Chi in an approachable way for modern life. Participants learn foundational principles before progressing into connected movement sequences.
The emphasis is on quality rather than speed, awareness rather than performance, and regular practice rather than perfect imitation. Participants are encouraged to notice posture, tension, balance, breathing, and the relationship between attention and movement.
Tai Chi does not ask us to move more aggressively. It teaches us to move with greater awareness.
