Designing learning for disaster-response professionals.

My NDRF-related work involved developing technical learning resources and delivering training for officers, probationary officers and personnel from different operational backgrounds. Topics included weather interpretation, publicly available tools, and foundational satellite-imagery literacy.
For adult learners with demanding responsibilities, I focused on essential concepts, contextual demonstrations, concise reference materials and opportunities to interpret information—not lengthy theory-first instruction.
Related work included internal-use reference tools and structured knowledge resources for operational teams; their interfaces and procedures are not reproduced here.

Tamil Nadu Police — Data Analytics & Public Infographics
Contributed to analytical summaries and visual communication for public-safety data, including Government Railway Police themes such as railway deaths, reported seizures, and missing or recovered children. My emphasis was on reliable categorization, meaningful comparisons and public-friendly presentation—without sensationalism.
Structural Facilities Criteria for Anti-Terrorism
Researched and developed a technical manual on structural-facility protection criteria. The work received ISRO recognition for its scientific and innovative approach. This project reflects my ability to synthesize specialist engineering research into structured technical guidance.
Geospatial Literacy & Critical Infrastructure Awareness
Provided high-level geospatial and satellite-imagery interpretation support in public-safety and critical-infrastructure contexts, including work associated with the Central Industrial Security Force. The portfolio focuses on the transferable skills—analysis, visualization and information architecture—rather than sensitive locations or operations.
Environmental Monitoring & Disaster Preparedness
Contributed to forest-fire-related geospatial interpretation, environmental awareness and disaster-preparedness learning, including work connected to Tamil Nadu Forest Department initiatives. The common thread is helping technical information become easier to understand and use responsibly.

Tamil Nadu Infrastructure Accountability Research
As a volunteer with Oorvani / Citizen Matters, I am researching reported injuries and fatalities associated with public-infrastructure failures across Tamil Nadu from 2020–2026. My research process emphasizes source verification, careful classification, evidence logs and tracing reported institutional responses.
Space Science & Public Learning
As an ISRO-approved Space Tutor, I have supported science communication for learners through space and satellite-application awareness. I also organize Knowledge Circle sessions, using guest talks, reading and accessible explanations to make scientific thinking more approachable for the community. My NASA Space Apps participation also reflects an interest in learning through space-data exploration.
